Anything more specific that you're curious about? Some tidbits of info though are that I wrote it originally on an 8 string but I liked the way my Charvel 6 string sounded tuned down to A then I used the Digitech whammy pedal to get it in the lower 8 string F# tuning range. I midi programmed all the drums and bass. I originally was going to have Nolly Getgood mix but I decided it would be easier to go over mix notes in person so I went with Joseph McQueen who mixed the last AILD record (Nolly mixed My Own Grave). This was my first time working with Mike Kalajian for mastering and I love what he did.
Do you know what went into the drum production? The drums sound massive. I do apologize if that’s a question more geared toward Mr. McQueen.
I’ve read you record “thunder chugs” on past AILD albums. Did you guys do this with SBF? If so what amp/cab setup was used for the main and quad tracks?
